Accounting Manager

The Role:

Course Hero is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our small (but mighty) finance team. We’re a small and dynamic team. You’ll have the opportunity to build accounting processes and create efficiency within the organization. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who is able to own solving interesting problems

Here are some ways you will make an impact:

• You’ll execute the month end financial close process (recording items in accordance with US GAAP accurately and timely).

• You’ll identify opportunities for process improvements to accelerate close, reporting timelines, and automate manual procedures and computations.

• You’ll prepare revenue recognition, and review payroll related journal entries.

• You’ll help lead accounts payable and assist in general ledger and accounting operations.

• You’ll review and approve general ledger account reconciliations.

• You’ll evaluate the accounting or financial reporting impact of operational decisions.

• You’ll design, implement and maintain effective policies and procedures and controls.

• You’ll analyze the accounting and financial reporting operations and drive decision making.

• You’ll operate and continue to build robust and scalable processes.

• You’ll facilitate and support external financial audits.

Are you our Star Accounting Manager?

• You have 6+ years of working experience within public accounting and industry

• You have a degree in accounting or finance, and hold an active CPA

• You are proficient with NetSuite and Excel

• You have strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

• You are able to work effectively with senior and functional department managers

• You have strong time management and organizational skills

• You have experience working cross functionally in a fast paced environment
